"Horses & Dynamite" by Swamprats

If you're a follower of the blog, you know that I have some pretty crazy talented friends that have experimented in music. Swamprats are the latest example of something very unique coming out of the Central Wisconsin area. "Horses & Dynamite" is about as odd as Lil' B's music except it's surprisingly catchy. The genre of country rap is one that has been lying underground for about three decades that nobody has decided to touch long-term. Sure, Bubba Sparxxx had his one song but other than Colt Ford and a terrible Nelly remix of a Florida Georgia Line song, it's been out of the public's eye. There was even a glimmer of potential (depending on who you ask) when word came out that LL Cool J and Brad Paisley collaborated in 2013... I think everybody knows how that went. Country Rap seems too schizophrenic to realistically coexist with other popular songs in the music universe. With "Horses & Dynamite", it shows that not only is the genre not going to stop trying but, there are up-and-coming artists, who are better-equipped than their predecessors, keeping it alive.
