Bro...

TYLER SNEEN, YOU ARE HIDING A CHILD. Sorry about that but, the trash talk for championship week has to start somewhere and Sneen never accepted my challenge of all kicker lineups because he is a coward. Also, nobody really cares about any of these championship weekend matchups because it seems like we've all been here before. For one, Sneen and I faced in both the 2015 championship and the 2016 Sacko/MoonBak Bowl for last place. Sources tell me that nobody wants to see Scott win after I gave him my entire team for two running backs named Johnson, as that would be too predictable and EVERYBODY (including myself) is anti-Ryan Dougherty repeat. It just shouldn't be possible for the youngest member of the league to go two-for-two on championship seasons and not experience any growing pains. Nick is playing for third place for the fourth season in a row (LOL WUT?) and Alec is just here to fulfill his duties as a taxpaying American (boring). Of course, Cole and Darrin have a fun rivalry but, is the intensity really there for a fifth place match the same way it was for 2016's championship and 2017's MoonBak? Something tells me we need a 96-point comeback to spark the tensions between those two again. Otherwise, it's the same shit, different year. Really makes you wonder if we'll still be doing this next year with Ryan doing adult stuff, Alec doing baby stuff, Scott in Pennsylvania, Nick continuing to dodge his taxes off the grid and myself going through an emotional rollercoaster every time I draft a running back that eventually ends up blackballed from the league (Also, I'm still waiting for the wi-fi at Applebee's to kick in). If there is no 2019 WRBL, just know that this five season (four official seasons) run was a fun ride and as much as this adds another level of responsibility to my holiday season, it's still one of the more fun things to do on a weekly basis (along with destroying Sneen's hopes and dreams).

Here is a look at the two championship teams' lineups as of Saturday morning at 12:30 AM...

Team Easy Breesy (Ryan Dougherty)
QB - Drew Brees (Definitely in MVP consideration for both NFL and WRBL, was not in lineup as of Wednesday so, may be a game-time decision versus Dak Prescott)
RB - Todd Gurley (Another MVP candidate, #1 scoring player in WRBL with 21 touchdowns and 360 fantasy points, QUESTIONABLE due to knee injury)
RB - Phillip Lindsay (Went from undrafted free agent to A must-start RB2 in his rookie season)
WR - Julio Jones (An absolute stud that has rediscovered the end zone in the second half of 2018, QUESTIONABLE with a hip injury)
WR - Michael Thomas (The 7th-highest WR in the WRBL this year, Thomas's success has coincided with Brees'. If Brees doesn't score more than he has these past three weeks, Scott will win)
FLEX - WR Alshon Jeffery (Seems to prefer Nick Foles as his quarterback but in reality, is only good when his quarterback is healthy, which Foles is right now)
TE - Eric Ebron (Has scored 11 touchdowns after a completely worthless start to his fantasy career, coming off a now rare 1-point outing)
K - Greg Zuerlein (Double-digit scorer in all but two games that he has been active for, getting a cushy opponent in Arizona)
D/ST - Miami Dolphins (Only as good as as bad as Cody Kessler will be this weekend)

Walter Polish Z Slayers (Scott Aschebrook)
QB - Patrick Mahomes (Definitely in MVP consideration for both NFL and WRBL, #1 scoring QB in WRBL, #4 overall player in WRBL, was once on Andy Todd's team)
RB - Christian McCaffrey (#2 scoring player in WRBL, scored 27 points in first game against Falcons defense on just eight carries, will face more-focused defense with Cam Newton out.)
RB - Dalvin Cook (Coming into his own with health just in time for the playoffs as I once expected, getting a surprise start over Joe Mixon, was once on Andy Todd's team)
WR - Davante Adams (Somehow the #1 WR in WRBL and none of us are questioning this? I mean... he legitimately has 300 points. What?)
WR - Mike Evans (Has had some dips in production when Tampa can't choose a quarterback. Otherwise, he's still a top-ten player at his position amidst the chaos)
FLEX - RB Nick Chubb (Clearly Cleveland's RB of the future, Averaging 20 points over the last six games he's played)
TE - Evan Engram (Touchdown dependent and the one glaring weakness in Scott's lineup, was once on Andy Todd's team)
K - Ka'imi Fairbairn (The #1 scoring kicker in fantasy football this season, playing a sneaky awful Eagles' defense)
D/ST - Los Angeles Rams (They make big plays, they give up big plays, expect more of the latter against Josh Rosen and the Cardinals)

All in all, this should be the fantasy football equivalent of giving someone (in this case, Ryan) a swirly in the toilet (A thing I haven't heard of happening in like 30 years so, good on you America for making some progress somewhere). Ryan's team is heavily reliant on two hot injured players and two ice cold teammates while Scott is just riding out an unreal nine-game winning streak as I battle to avoid last place. Started from the top, now we here. At least the hypothetical standings are a close race.

It's the most wonderful time of the year, championship time. Best of luck to those who want to finish with a higher seed than their opponent! Stay tuned for next week's season finale.
