Jim Mone/AP
Hero of the Week: WR Adam Thielen (Team ChowHounds)

Waiver Wonders: WR Damiere Byrd (26.3), QB Jared Goff (23.04), QB Kirk Cousins (22.96)

David J. Phillip/AP
Waiver Wonder: WR Damiere Byrd (6 catches, 132 yards, 1 TD)

What-if of the Week: If Alec started Derek Carr (21.6) over Joe Burrow (only 11.32 due to season-ending leg injury), he would have had a close win over Ryan and wouldn't have a 56% chance at missing the postseason right now.

Upcoming Week 12 Match-ups
NOTE: NFL Schedule subject to change due to ongoing COVID-19 cases rising and possible postponements. Look it up on your own time.
Alec v. Ryan
Nick v. Hoefs
Sneen v. Scott
Cole v. Andy
Darrin v. BYE

Bro...

After ten weeks of working under the notion that league tiebreakers were settled by season-long point totals like every other year, I have been corrected by Nick Zurawski. In the case of the defendant versus the plaintiff, the true victor is the winner of their regular season head-to-head results. If a match is currently tied with one win each over the span of the season (see: Hoefs v. Nick, winner: TBD this week), then it comes down to a points tiebreaker. In order to avoid further confusion, I highly recommend those two do not tie this week. Thankfully, with the updated decimal-based scoring system, we have virtually eliminated ties outside of the fifth-place scoring finish on a bye week that has so far only come into play for Scott all the way back in week one. In case we needed the playoff race further broken down by the odds, commissioner Nick has come through in the clutch with the literal odds broken down by team and by week. It's good to have a statistician in the league... now if only we could get a writer.

The only division that is under wraps in terms of their being a winner is still the Steven Nett Division, currently owned by Darrin's Team ChowHounds. He even extended his lead this week with another win and a loss for the freefalling Cole Walters. Even when superstar RB Alvin Kamara has zero receptions for the first time in his NFL career, Adam Thielen and Davante Adams have proven to be supremely reliable for the ChowHound during their dominant regular season. Elsewhere in the division, Cole could not break 100 despite Derrick Henry cracking the 100-yard marker in a clutch OT victory for the Titans over Baltimore. Morale is low at 96ers' headquarters but, the 2016 champion is still on pace for the postseason with or without a steady RB2 (This week's revolving RB2 door for Cole has Gus Edwards carrying a majority of Baltimore's workload). Surprising everyone but most of all himself is Scott Asch3brook rising from the asch3s and turning it up a notch to become Mr. Intens3brook as of late.

Pictured here: A totally normal stance for a tight end to have mid-game.

Even with Taysom Hill starting at Tight End, Scott finished fifth in scoring this week (a hypothetical bye/tie). He is quite possibly a false idol benefitting off of mistakes like the Ravens running the same exact offense as last season (shout out to league-average NFL quarterback Lamar Jackson). Either way, Scott is very, VERY much alive with the best fantasy running back in football just waiting for the opportunity to return in time for the postseason on his bench so, mentally prepare yourselves for Scott's third consecutive (and least likely) championship. The Steven Nett Division isn't even a byline in comparison to the rest of the WRBL however. The Shooter McGavin Division now features three different records, all still alive for the divisional crown. After Ryan barely defeated Alec by 8.56 this week, the two will reconvene this week that could ultimately decide the division with an Alec victory as I hold the seasonal tiebreaker over Ryan's The Golladay Inn. It's a good thing the deadline has passed or else I'd be offering Alec some of my best players on a one-week rental basis just so I don't have to deal with not winning our division. The division is no longer the main focus of the Christy Fichtner All-Stars' goals though as the ChowHounds are currently just one game ahead of Andy's team for the #1 seed in the league. As one of just two matches to not happen in the 2020 fantasy regular season, the tiebreaker between us two would come down to points, which Darrin is very much in the lead for as of blog publication. More 150-point showings (like my league-leading 152.22 on bye this week) will be needed from my team and oh yeah, Darrin has to stop winning eventually.

Nick has the lowest scoring team through 11 weeks. I don't think in the official or unofficial history of the Wisconsin Rapids Bro League has that ever been the case. The perennial third place finisher is in very serious danger of not finishing in third this year as the previously-mentioned Ravens' offense led by Lamar Jackson continues to underwhelm and with Nick's only other option being the NFL leader in turnovers (that's Carson Wentz), it's likely he'll be relying on Lamar at least once more as his undermanned-due-to-COVID Ravens face the 10-0 Steelers in a game that is apparently happening on Sunday barring any more positives out of the Ravens' facilities. This week, the Tanner Glaza Division is entirely 5-6 but, should leave the weekend with at least one outlier at 6-6 as Hoefs takes on Zurawski. Hoefs will be watching the early Turkey Day shitfest known as Lions-Texans where his suddenly fiery DeShaun Watson (must have heard Nathan benched him for a rookie, thus prompting his season-best performance in week 11) takes on game-time decision RB D'Andre Swift (of Free Chiquita). The Sneen Machine put on a respectable showing this past weekend versus Hoefs but alas, scoring is high this year and his 119.1 was not even enough for a hypothetical victory. I guess Sneen just needs Dalvin Cook to score multiple touchdowns every week in order to stay afloat. Thankfully for us all, there are no bye weeks this week outside of Darrin Aschebrook trying to get a top-four scoring finish in order to almost certainly secure the #1 seed. This is great because most of us need all the manpower we can get in order to make that final playoff push. Keep an eye out for those lurking in the IR shadows though as Christian McCaffrey, Austin Ekeler, Myles Gaskin, Joe Mixon, Deebo Samuel and David Johnson all linger the fantasy sidelines temporarily with their chances to shine coming up in the WRBL postseason.

Quick shout out to Tax Paying Homeowner QB Joe Burrow on a very impressive rookie season tragically cut short due to a serious leg injury this weekend. Hopefully for Alec's sake, his team rallies for his possible keeper QB despite his having the lowest playoff odds.
